With the spec sheet given above, this phone is looking really good for its price point. I mean you can even consider this phone as the Huawei Nova 3i’s little brother since they have the same processor, the Kirin 710.

Now let’s go through with what we think of the device. Don’t worry, we didn’t just collect information from users of the phone, but we also have a unit ourselves.

Key features:

Camera

First let’s talk about the main camera. Similar with new phones coming out of the market, the honor 10 lite sports a dual-lens system which is perfect for capturing portrait shots.  It has a 13MP main camera lens and a 2MP depth sensor which gives off that nice bokeh effect for portrait shots.

Moving over to the front camera, it carries a 24MP camera which is really good for taking selfies. If you aren’t aware, the honor 10 lite was marketed specifically as a selfie eccentric phone, and it really does take good selfies.

Coupled with good cameras, the honor 10 lite packs a lot of camera features as well. You can enable AI photography, which automatically detects what type of picture you are trying to take. It can go from sceneries, to portrait, to food and even plants.

AR stickers are also available if you feel like having some quick fun with its camera.

For super low-light photography, you can’t really expect too much for its price range but it’s still good enough to satisfy our needs. You can also enable night mode on this phone which converts very dark pictures to lighter ones since it needs you to hold the phone for a couple of seconds and it will automatically pick the best exposure and lighting for the image being taken.

Body Material

The overall design of the Honor 10 lite is really great. The back is made of plastic but it doesn’t look cheap at all. They added that glossy finish to back so that when light hits it, it reflects over the light and give of a really shiny look. Although one thing to take note is that since it’s made of plastic, fingerprints easily stick to the backside, so might want to use the free case included when you buy the phone.

The sides are made of metal and the power button is found on the upper right side of the phone.  Overall build, it feels really sturdy.

Display

It sports a FHD display, with a PPI (pixels per inch) density of 415. It also sports the new waterdrop display which gives you more screen to use on the phone and a better screen to body ratio. Compared to the notch that we see in phones like the Nova 3i, Pocofone etc., the waterdrop notch is a much better design and gives you that feeling that it maximizes the screen on the phone.

If you were to go outside under direct sunlight, the screen is still viewable. I’d say putting the brightness to around 80% to 90% would be the best to be able to read things on your phone.

As we said, it has a Full HD display but one good thing about EMUI is that it gives its user the capability of setting the screen resolution over to HD+ to be able to conserve battery.

Performance

We have made some test here and there on the phone and it was able to keep up with apps that we use on a daily basis. So if you’re planning to use the phone as a daily driver, it would definitely suit your needs. As we said earlier, it packs the Kirin 710 and a GPU of Mali-G51, the same one that the Nova 3i hasso it should be at par with it. The only difference is the RAM, so multitasking would be better on the 3i.

In terms of gaming, we have tested a few MOBA games on the phone and we were able to play them at full graphics and 60 fps with little to no frame drops. But with this settings, a little heating should be expected, so we suggest putting the graphic settings to around medium to conserve battery life as well.

We also tried PUBG, a graphics heavy game. It runs pretty smooth. You can put it to a max of 60 FPS and HDR graphics but expect lots of frame drops. If you set it over to balanced, expect a consistent 30 fps with little to no frame drops.

Battery

The device is packed with a 3,400 mah battery. It can last you the whole day for casual use like calling, texting and taking [pictures from time to time but if you plan to use the phone for gaming or browsing sns, you might want to bring a powerbank with you since it might last you about an average of 5-6 hours for medium to heavy use.

Honor 10 Lite Reviews/Customer feedback:

Here comes the good part. As we know, the Honor 10 Lite is being sold in Lazada, Shopee and some physical stores and those who buy the phone are bound to give feedbacks on it especially if they buy it online. Taking a look at the product on both Lazada and Shopee, those who have already both the device seems to be really happy and satisfied for their good buy.

Honor 10 Lite review

Taking a look at the reviews on Lazada, not a lot of reviews are posted but almost everyone is satisfied. Out of 5, the phone has a rating of 4.9. Customers were really happy on how good the phone is. Delivery wise, they were also saying that most of them got the phone within a day or two. And more thing that they are extremely happy about are the freebies. Currently if you but the 32GBs variant, you’ll be able to get an Honor Band 4 smartwatch, Honor headphones, Tumbler, Sports Armband, Luggage Bag, and a Ringstand which should total out to around P1, 000.00 pesos worth of freebies.

Honor 10 Lite

The same goes to Shopee’s customers. The phone currently has a rating of 4.8 and around 442 people had rated the product. Delivery time was great as well for the most of them and they, too were really happy since they have gotten the same freebies as well.

Final Thoughts

The Honor 10 lite for its price to performance cost is absolutely a bang for the buck. It’s an overall good phone. From pictures to gaming, it can live up to your expectation and you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Construction

The Huawei Y7 Pro 2019, just like the Huawei Y9 2019 have the same unique structure and design. Given that both of them come from the same Y-series, their overall look is kind of eerie. The phone has a glossily shining polycarbonate back panel with a color pattern which looks premium and sophisticated.

You can never go wrong with it because the bezels are slim; you’d never notice the bezels on the sides but the bezels on the top and at the bottom of the screen are noticeable.

Read: Infinix Note 4 User Review at P6, 999 with 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM

The screen is already pre-installed with a screen protected; although you have to be careful because it doesn’t have the famous Gorilla Glass protection.

Display

Since it comes with a 19:9 HD + Display with a 6.26-inch screen and a 1520 x 720 resolution, you can definitely expect high-quality content in photos, videos, and in gaming. It’s excellent to be a device dedicated to video-watching.

One good thing about it is that even under sunlight, it can still be used even with 70 to 80 percent brightness.

Read: In-depth Huawei Nova 2i Review – Philippines

A downside is that it won’t be able to play 1080p YouTube videos so if you’re more picky, then you might have a problem because it can only reach 720p.

Battery

The Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 boasts with a 4, 000 mAh battery capacity which can be considered as high average in its price range. According to one user, the device’s battery lasted for as long as 14 hours and 9 minutes. This figure is substantially longer than its cousin, the Y9 2019.

The video loop test which was ran at:

  • 1080p movie
  • Airplane mode
  • 50% brightness
  • 50% audio with earphones

made the phone last for a total of 17 hours and 25 minutes. The battery life in accordance to its price is pretty impressive.

Camera

If you are a fan of photography, you should definitely consider the Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 in your choices of smartphones. The camera functionality is actually self-explanatory and is not as complicated as other devices and operating systems.

There are pre-built five (5) different modes for the rear camera mode. These are: Beauty, Aperture, Photo, Video, and the More option.

Rear cameras

Talking about image quality, the 13 MP + 2 MP dual rear cameras can produce a decent photo even under dimmed light. If you use it under normal lighting conditions, then you are in for a treat. You just have to be careful because since it has a high megapixel quality, the colors and contrast might be washed out if a photo is taken when moving.

Front camera

The front “selfie” camera, on the other hand, can help you produce a decent photo if taken under regular and normal lighting. Low-light condition images, on the other hand, would deteriorate the qualities of the shot.

Nevertheless, it’s better compared to the rear cameras when a photo gets taken under low or dimmed lighting conditions.

Overall performance

Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 is the chipset that powers the Huawei Y7 Pro 2019. This configuration is similar to Oppo’s A3s 3GB which is known to be one of the more popular mid-ranged smartphones of 2018.

It can flawlessly operate simple tasks like social media posting, browsing the web, streaming videos, and transferring of files. Because the phone has little-to-no bezels on it, the Face Unlock feature is accurate and is reliable.

High-quality games would be run on low frame rates because those games have intense graphics. Nevertheless, some games like PUBG, Mobile Legends, and other games with the same quality can be operated and is guaranteed to run smoothly with just occasional frame lags.

Honor 9 Lite User Reviews: Smartphones That Cost Less Than Php10, 000.00

September 25, 2018 By Matthew Aaron Leave a Comment

In honor of a previous article, we will be tackling another smartphone review today from different people’s feedback. In a previous post, we discussed why it’s better and important to investigate and check what other people have to say about a certain product. Especially in Lazada where millions of people transact each day, it’s overly important to determine whether or not a certain seller is legitimate, and if the product is as good as it’s advertised. In this article, we will be looking at Honor Lite 9 reviews from Lazada customers.

Camera:

Other than the fact that both the front and rear-end cameras are dual-lens, it also has a new “beauty algorithm” which creates perfect portrait shots. With the help of the FullView display, it creates detail like no other. You can use it for picture-taking in both low and high light scenarios. Although the quality and the resolution of the photos are superb, you might have a problem under extreme lighting which could possibly make loud colors oversaturated.

Material:

It’s elegant-looking and sophisticated. The whole smartphone is glass and it has an aluminum frame that borders the phone. Overall, it looks classy and smart; since that is the case, it is prone to smudges and fingerprints. So you might have a difficult time if you’re always aiming to have a spot-free phone.

Display:

It offers a 427 PPI which provides sharp, clean, and colorful distribution of picture. Under direct sunlight, the screen is definitely viewable even if the brightness is less than 80%, not bad, huh? Since it doesn’t have bezels anymore, users can utilize the navigation dock which functions almost the same as the assistive touch in iOS.

Performance:

Tests have been made that concluded its ability to be able to play games even in medium-to-balanced resolution. There are a few frame drops and lags every now and then but the overall feel and run of games are normal.

Battery:

It’s powered by a 3, 000 mAh battery which is perfect for light-gaming and medium social media usage. The Honor 9 lite can withstand an hour or two of gaming and can be utilized for a full day given the activities that you do with it. The phone heats after straight usage but it doesn’t come to that point where it feels uncomfortable and not usable.

Huawei Honor 9 lite reviews

We’ve now come to the part everyone is waiting for. We will now be looking at some of the comments and feedback of people who purchased the phone or those people who are planning to buy it out.

Honor 9 Lite User Reviews Huawei Honor 9 Lite Reviews From Lazada

Majority of the feedback from Lazada contains positive words about delivery and handling. There are people who received it in two (2) days, there are some who were able to receive it in just 1-day turnaround. Overall, the delivery is what these reviews are highlighting. In addition, the packaging of the phone is also noticed. Although the phone box doesn’t come with earpods, people were happy with how and when it was delivered to them.

Honor 9 Lite Reviews From Lazada PH

To further add to the positive Huawei Honor 9 lite reviews, people were also amazed by the display and the processor of the phone. There are people who do heavy-gaming which turned out to have them lag, but casual games are fine. Jabril l., one of the people who purchased the phone, expressed his overall satisfaction with the phone and even said that this phone is prime and is actually cheap for what it can do.

There’s also one buyer, Precious B., who said that she was dumbfounded with the speed of the face unlocking of the Huawei Honor 9 lite. She said that the phone is amazing and that she can’t believe that a phone like that is being sold at a price she received. The downside, she says, is the bloatware. Although she can uninstall some, she’s stuck with other programs and apps she will never be interested to use.

To see and to know more about the product or if you’re interested, head on to this link.

Overall

To sum up the Honor 9 lite reviews in Lazada, people were dramatically impressed with how everything is. From the delivery and packaging of the phone, to how the phone performs in many different circumstances. Although it’s not a perfect phone that can support everything, it’s still a very good phone for a price less than Php10, 000.00.

In-depth Huawei Nova 2i Review – Philippines

July 1, 2018 By Matthew Aaron Leave a Comment

Right now, China is now considered to be the largest telecom infrastructure maker in the world of course with the help of various partnerships. Since it’s rise, the country has been making great excitement to subscribers by manufacturing mid-range Android devices.

Huawei is one of China’s best bets; they’ve been creating flagship models with extraordinary outcome since the day it was launched. The introduction of Huawei’s Nova 2i is quite appealing and out of the ordinary. It’s been creating popularity with other smartphones with its large, near bezel-less displays which puts more room for a bigger screen for better experience. A few of its competitors would be the LG Q6, the Vivo V7+ and OPPO F5. Huawei’s Nova 2i is nevertheless an additional hard competitor with its price ranging around Php15k.

This article will focus on reviews of the Huawei Nova 2i  as we come across all features and characteristics of the phone. We would also be tackling its design and how it is good; In addition, we will also include its battery life and most particularly the quad-camera setup which is said to be the first of its kind.

Design, Quality, and Construction

Image: YugaTech

Nova 2i’s main advantage is its quality; aside from being a good-looking device, it is a unibody, which means it doesn’t have any bezels; an all metal design with no plastic material. It has a tall and slim profile despite the humongous 5.9-inch display. It’s only 7.5mm thin and 164 grams in weight which is excellent for the display size. The power button and volume controls are on the right side.

Image: YugaTech

The size of the phone is still convenient to hold with its smooth, rounded corners and edges; it’s finished up with a hint of matte design. It is comfortable actually, can be easily gripped considering the size of the display. The antenna band at the back just forms a straight line, which also encompasses the LED flash.

It also comes in various colors – Graphite, Aurora Blue, and Prestige Gold.

The Nova 2i has a hybrid dual-SIM tray — the first one carries a nano SIM card and support 4G LTE while the second one can accommodate a micro SD card that goes up to 256GB or a nano SIM card. However, it can only accommodate 2G in terms of connectivity.

The fingerprint sensor at the back where it is normally found in almost every Huawei devices is just below the rear cameras. To add to that, this scanner works as quick as lightning; it’s easy to access and unlock the phone and it can accommodate up to 5 unique fingerprints. Other than unlocking the device, it can also be used to toggle different shortcuts which you can then toggle or modify.

Display and Multimedia

Image: Yugatech

What’s noticeable about the Nova 2i is its gorgeous looking screen. It is called FHD+ FullView 18:9 aspect ratio screen. 5.9 inches of display squeezed into a 5.5-inch form factor; this is still not fully common even on flagships models. The sharp, FHD screen offers forceful and to some extent, saturated colors. The screen brightness is a little low when viewing in direct sunlight. The display is clear, with 2160-x 1080 pixel resolution perfect for those who love watching videos or live. The 409ppi gives it more than enough pixel density to produce accurate, noticeable, and sharp images.

The Nova 2i has a single speaker at the bottom, just on the left side of the USB port. The quality of the sound is excellent and maximum volume is loud. However, putting it on the maximum might cause damage so keep it to a minimum.

Camera

Image: Yugatech

The Nova 2i is the first smartphone from Huawei to gain quad-camera setup. It features dual lens cameras both front and back so that’s two rear cameras and two front-facing cameras.

The main 16-megapixel camera can shoot at full resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio and the supported resolution is at 11MP. Both cameras are supplemented by a smaller 2-megapixel unit. The second rear camera is there to provide in depth-of-field and simulate very good aperture which can be as wide as f/0.95 to f/16.

Image: Yugatech

In terms of camera quality, I can be a witness that it’s out-of-the-ordinary in daylight. With an aperture of f2.2, it’s a bit hard to get a not-so-blurry shot when shooting in low light, so it’s quite difficult to maintain a great photo in the dark. Video recording maxes at full HD1080 at 30fps. There’s no 4K support but fancy features such as slow motion (480p), time-lapse and light painting are present. The front-facing camera also comes with LED soft light for better selfies.

Battery Life

Image: YugaTech

For typical average to heavy usage,  Huawei Nova 2i with 3340mAh of battery power can make it throughout a day. This is relatively good and can be used for 24 hours if you maintain the brightness low and cut on gaming and GPS. The battery is non-removable for better conduction and security, of course.

It can last for  a dy with standard calls, messaging, an hour of YouTube video, an hour of social media, and an hour of gaming. On the downside, there’s no fast-charging available and the use of a regular USB port rather than a type-C is kind of a letdown.

If you want a slight comment on how powerful its battery is, being idle for 6 straight hours consumes about 4-5% of the battery.

Overall Performance

An excellent display should be partnered with good performance, and the Nova 2i has persuading specifications as far as performance is concern. The phone is powered by Huawei’s latest home-baked Octa-core High Silicon Kirin 659 processor with Mali-T830 MP2 graphics. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is expandable via micro SD.

If you’re wondering about gaming, yes the Nova 2i won’t disappoint you in gaming. Given the fact that it can accommodate heavy RAM usage, you can be carefree that no lag will remain even if applications are open.
